Prageeta Sharma

Prageeta Sharma is the author of five poetry collections, including Grief Sequence (Wave Books, 2019) and The Opening Question (Fence Books, 2004), which won the 2004 Fence Modern Poetry Prize. Among other honors, she has received a Howard Foundation Award and been named a finalist for the 2020 Four Quartets Prize. Sharma is Henry G. Lee professor of English at Pomona College, and founder of the interdisciplinary conference “Thinking Its Presence: Race, Creative Writing, Literary Studies, and Art.”
