Kyle Spence
Kyle Spence is an architect and educator dedicated to integrating cultural, sustainable, and resilient design principles. He is the founding principal of The BAKLab and an assistant professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he teaches studios, theory seminars, and representation courses. A recent Autodesk residency focused on community-engaged solar time strategies and wildlife ecosystem creation through digitally fabricated installations.
Kyle is a recipient of the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation Alumni Incubator Prize. He has also taught at Florida A&M University, the New York School of Interior Design, and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
