Kathryn Firth

Kathryn Firth, Director in Cities Planning and Design at Arup, is an architect and urban designer based in London, whose passion for creating thriving places spans some 30 years. She leads master planning and urban design projects across the U.K., U.S., Europe, and the Middle East, ranging from public realm improvements to large-scale urban development and regeneration projects, including the London Olympic Legacy.

Kathryn is the co-chair for the Urban Land Institute Infrastructure and Urban Development Product Council. She holds a Masters of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, where she has also taught. She is currently teaching at The Bartlett, University College London, and Central Saint Martin’s, University of the Arts London.
