Adam Ryder

Adam Ryder is a photographer and graduate of Clark University, originally from the D.C. metro area in northern Virginia. He is currently a graduate student at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and lives in Brooklyn. His work investigates architecture, urbanism and science fiction, most recently by recontextualizing mid-century and contemporary futurist architecture as the abandoned relics of an alien planet. He is half of the creative studio Site Unseen, with collaborator Brian Rosa. In their grant-funded project On the Grid, they photographed and mapped high-tension electric transmission lines in Rhode Island. They recently completed a residency at the Center for Land Use Interpretation at Wendover, Utah.
