Aneesha Dharwadker
Aneesha Dharwadker is an assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a joint appointment in the School of Architecture and Department of Landscape Architecture. Her teaching and scholarship examine globalization, colonialism, and contemporary social issues in relation to the built environment. In 2022, she received the New Faculty Teaching Award from the ASCA.
Dharwadker is a licensed architect in Illinois and the founder of Chicago Design Office, a firm dedicated to making architecture for social progress. She received an MDesS in history and philosophy of design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a B.Arch from Cornell University.
