Carolyn Castaño

Carolyn Castaño is a Los Angeles-based artist who uses ecofeminist frameworks in painting, installation, video, and artist’s books to explore landscape, migration, and female and family identities, in works that juxtapose drawing, photography, and performance with patterns found in textiles, design, and geometric abstraction. She grew up in Los Angeles’s Historic Filipinotown and the San Gabriel Valley, and now lives in Pasadena, California.
