Cheree Franco
Cheree Franco has been a features writer and editor at multiple alt-weeklies and daily papers, in addition to publishing in magazines, anthologies, and punk zines. Her work has appeared in VICE, Huck, Juxtapoz, Vinyl Me Please, BOMB, Number: Inc., BuzzFeed, The Brooklyn Rail, Razorcake, The Indypendent, and other outlets. She spent much of 2011 reporting from Pakistan with the New York Times affiliate Express Tribune. In 2013, a wrongful-conviction story she wrote for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette played a role in the release of an Arkansan who was at the time 20 years into a life sentence. Currently, she teaches journalism at Tulane University.
