Clement Valla is an artist based in Brooklyn.
Valla’s work has been exhibited at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Museum of the Moving Image, and the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum, in Milwaukee, and at various galleries including the Thommassen Galleri, Bitforms Gallery, Mulherin + Pollard Projects, DAAP Galleries at the University of Cincinnati, and 319 Scholes. His solo exhibition, “Surface Survey,” at Transfer Gallery in New York, was an Artforum Critic’s Pick.
His work has also been cited in many periodicals, including The Guardian, Wall Street Journal, Time, El Pais, Rhizome, Domus, and Wired, as well as on the BBC.
Valla received a BA in Architecture from Columbia University and an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in Digital+Media. He is currently an assistant professor of graphic design at RISD.
