David Mandl

David Mandl has been living in and obsessively photographing Brooklyn his whole life, except for two years when he lived in and obsessively photographed London. Dave was the co-founder of Conflux, an annual NYC-based art and technology festival devoted to cities, urbanism, and psychogeography. His photography has appeared in Flavorwire and The Brooklyn Rail, and at the Urban Drift (Berlin), Sonar (Barcelona), and Conflux festivals, among other places. He contributed the photographs for sound artist Peter Cusack’s CD collection Your Favourite London Sounds. Dave’s writing has appeared in The Wire, The Register, The Believer, Slate, and many other publications. His radio show, World of Echo, airs weekly on WFMU-FM.
