Emanuel Admassu

Emanuel Admassu is an artist, architect, and educator who practices at the intersection of design theory, spatial justice, and contemporary African art. He is founding partner of AD–WO and assistant professor at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia, where he teaches studios and theory seminars in urban design and architecture. He has previously taught at Rhode Island School of Design and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. AD–WO’s work is in the permanent collection of the Art Institute of Chicago and High Museum of Art in Atlanta.
