    Hsiao-Hung Pai

    Hsiao-Hung Pai is a freelance journalist based in London.

    Her books include Scattered Sand: The Story of China’s Rural Migrants, and Chinese Whispers: The True Story Behind Britain’s Hidden Army of Labour, which was shortlisted for the Orwell Prize in 2009. Pai’s report on the Morecambe Bay tragedy for the Guardian was made into the film Ghosts.
