J. Christoph Burkle

J. Christoph Bürkle is an architectural historian and editor based in Zürich. 

After training as a photographer, Burkle studied art history in Hamburg and Munich, receiving a PhD with a dissertation on Hans Scharoun. He has held various positions, including senior assistant to the chair for History of Art and Architecture at the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture at the ETH Zürich, head of the publishing house Niggli Verlag and, since 1995, editorial director of Archithese. He has written articles for numerous publications, and is ivce president of the Architecture Forum Zurich.
