Jamie Kruse
Jamie Kruse is an artist, designer and part-time lecturer at Parsons, The New School for Design. In 2005 she co-founded smudge studio, with Elizabeth Ellsworth, based in Brooklyn. She is the recipient of grants from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, The New School Green Fund, New York State Council for the Arts and the Brooklyn Arts Council. Exhibitions include the Sheila C. Johnson Design Center (Parsons, The New School for Design); the Storefront for Art and Architecture (NY); Incident Report (Hudson, NY); and Richland Galleries (Dallas, TX). She is author of the Friends of the Pleistocene blog and recently co-edited a collection of essays with Elizabeth Ellsworth entitled, Making the Geologic Now: Responses to Material Conditions of Contemporary Life (punctum books, 2012).
