Jan Otakar Fischer

Jan Otakar Fischer is an architect and critic who has lived in Berlin since 1993. He grew up in New York City and received his Masters of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1990. He writes regularly on European architecture and urbanism, and has contributed to the New York Times, Harvard Design Magazine, the International Herald Tribune, and Architectural Record, among other publications. He teaches urban history and development at the IES Berlin Metropolitan Studies Program.
