Jay Cephas
Jay Cephas is an assistant professor in the history and theory of architecture and the J. Maclean Junior University Preceptor at Princeton University. He is also a research director at the Princeton-Mellon Initiative in Architecture, Urbanism, and the Humanities and the founding director of the Black Architects Archive , an interactive repository that documents the work of Black architects, builders, landscape architects, and contractors working across the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. His research concerns the intersection of labor, technology, and social identity in histories of the built environment.
