Jeffrey Carney

Jeffrey Carney is director of the LSU Coastal Sustainability Studio and associate professor in the School of Architecture. Jeff received his BA from Washington University in St. Louis and master’s degrees in both architecture and city and regional planning from the University of California, Berkeley.

His interest in the overlap of architecture, urbanism, and ecology led him first to Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill in San Francisco, where he worked on a series of large scale urban interventions. Following this, Jeff moved to Louisiana to teach at LSU, where his focus has centered on the trans-disciplinary work of the Coastal Sustainability Studio.
