Jo Röttger

Jo Röttger lives in Hamburg, Germany. Born in 1954, he studied photography in Dortmund. In 1981 he started working with Die Zeit Magazin Hamburg. He joined the Photographers Group Visum in 1984. His first work as a photographer in a war was in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1982. He currently works as a commercial photographer in addition to pursuing his own photographic projects. His books include Landscape and Memory: Thirty Photographs by Jo Röttger, published in 2013, and Wilson’s World: A Photographic Journey with Robert Wilson.
