Joe Sisko

Joe Sisko is the Assistant Director of UPSTATE: A Center for Design, Research and Real Estate and teaches classes at the Syracuse University School of Architecture. His current work leverages an entrepreneurial approach to urban design and commerce in underdeveloped cities in ways that foreground design while exploiting untapped markets, technological opportunities and underutilized local resources. Sisko is also the founder of Cell, a design practice that seeks collaborative projects which hybridize various computational techniques and protocols as a means of designing complex systems that range from urban analysis to environmentally responsive building skins.
