Katrín Sigurðardóttir

Katrín Sigurðardóttir was born 1967 in Reykjavík, Iceland, but has lived and worked in the United States since 1988. She represented Iceland in the Venice Biennale in 2013, and her work has been featured in many venues, including the Bienal de São Paulo; FRONT International: Cleveland Triennial for Contemporary Art; the Torino Triennale; the List Visual Arts Center at MIT; the Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art, London; the SculptureCenter, New York; the Metropolitan Museum of Art; MoMA PS1; FRAC Bourgogne, Dijon; Sala de Arte Publico Siqueiros, Mexico City; and Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin.

This year her work will be featured in the Biennale Rabat, Morocco, and in exhibitions at the Museu Nacional da República, Brasilia; Museo de Antioquia, Medellín; and the National Gallery of Iceland in Reykjavík.
