Mabel O. Wilson

Mabel O. Wilson navigates her practice, Studio 6Ten, between the fields of architecture, art and cultural history. Her design and art work have be exhibited at the Wexner Center for the Arts, the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, Storefront for Art and Architecture, and SF Cameraworks. She is currently completing a cultural history entitled: Progress and Prospects: Black Americans in the World of Fairs and Museums, forthcoming from University of California Press. She teaches architecture at Columbia University’s GSAPP.

With Peter Tolkin, she is a collaborator on SideProjects. Their photo essay about artist John Outterbridge, “Catfish and Coltrane,” was published in the collection The Architecture of the Everyday.
