Mark Hough is the campus landscape architect at Duke University.
As a writer, he focuses on environmental issues, cultural landscapes, campuses, and the tension between contemporary ideologies and historic designed places. He is a frequent contributor to Landscape Architecture Magazine and has written for various other publications. He also blogs regularly for Planetizen, where he shares his perspectives on urban landscapes. Mark is an adjunct professor at the College of Design at North Carolina State University, where he teaches a course on critical design thinking and writing.
