Mark Klett
Mark Klett is Regents Professor and Distinguished Sustainability Scholar at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University.
Klett is a founder of the Rephotographic Survey Project, and has worked on a several other rephotography projects in the past three decades, including the Third View, Yosemite in Time, After the Ruins (San Francisco) and Reconstructing the View (Grand Canyon). Before turning to photography he worked as a geologist.
Klett has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Buhl Foundation, and the Japan/U.S. Friendship Commission. His work has been exhibited and published nationally and internationally, and is in the collections of many museums worldwide. His numerous books including Saguaros; After the Ruins; Yosemite in Time; Third Views, Second Sights; and The Half-Life of History.
