Maya Dukmasova

Maya Dukmasova is a staff writer at the Chicago Reader, covering housing, politics, and the courts. In one way or another most of her work is about inequality. She’s won several local and national journalism awards for investigative reporting, in-depth profiles, and features with a focus on history. Her writing and translations (from her native Russian) have also appeared in Harper’s, Jacobin, Slate, Broadly, Truthout, In These Times, and The Progressive.
