Melody R. Stein

Melody R. Stein is a landscape designer, writer, and artist, whose research is focused on the urban and landscape implications of nonindustrial agricultural forms, practices, and futures. She received her Masters in Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design where she was awarded the Jacob Weidenmann Prize for outstanding ability and talent in design. Her thesis, Wild Rice Waters, co-authored with Emily Hicks, won theĀ  2019 Landscape Architecture Thesis Prize. She is a Senior Designer at Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
