Micah Cash
Micah Cash is an artist based in Charlotte, NC. His paintings and photographs investigate landscapes and land use, and the influence of their social history on cultural geography. He has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States.
In addition to Dangerous Waters, he is currently working on Coal Ash Community, a photo-based project documenting landscapes of habitat and community surrounding coal ash storage ponds in North Carolina. His work has been featured on LensCulture, Light Leaked, Another Place, and Dotphotozine. He is also a participating artist in the “Looking at Appalachia” project. Micah earned his MFA from the University of Connecticut and is currently an adjunct professor of art at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.
