Michael Berryhill

Michael Berryhill is a Houston writer and teacher whose work has appeared in Texas Monthly, Houston City Magazine, Houston Chronicle, D Magazine, The New Republic, The New York Times Sunday Magazine and many other publications. His book, The Trials of Eroy Brown: The Murder Case that Shook the Texas Prison System, was published by the University of Texas Press in 2011 and in 2012 was named the best nonfiction book on Texas by the Philosophical Society of Texas. He is the chair of journalism at Texas Southern University.
