Millay Hyatt is a writer who grew up in England, Austria and Germany as the daughter of American missionaries.
She has a B.A. in philosophy from the American University of Paris and earned her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Southern California, with a dissertation about utopia and the critique of utopia in Hegel and Deleuze. Her literary essays and short fiction in English and German have appeared in a variety of print and online publications, including 91st Meridian, The Prague Review, and Plotki, as well as on the radio. She lives in Berlin.
