Myles McCallum

Myles McCallum is an Associate Professor of Classical Archaeology at Saint Mary’s University in Canada. For many years he has studied the development of urbanism in Iron Age Italy, Roman imperial estates, the ancient economy, material culture and mobility, and the Roman countryside, and has directed field projects in Puglia, Basilicata, Campania, and Lazio. His interest in the Riforma houses stems from a field survey conducted in Basilicata from 2012 to 2015, and this has sparked an interest in contemporary archaeology and the material study of transience, mobility, and abandonment in the contemporary world.
