Robert Taylor

Robert J. Taylor is principal of Taylor & Burns Architects in Boston. He concentrates on buildings for education, arts, civic and community groups. Built works include the Student Center at Bennington College, which was honored for design excellence in 2008 by AIA New England and the Boston Society of Architects. Other work includes Founders’ Hall at Grace & Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kansas City. Robert trained with Cesar Pelli from 1983-93, received the Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and the Master of Architecture from Yale. At Yale he was editor of Perspecta. He has been a visiting critic at Harvard, MIT, and RISD. Robert’s wife and design partner is Carol Burns.
