John Rohrbach

John Rohrbach is Senior Curator of Photographs at the Amon Carter Museum, Fort Worth, Texas, where he has been employed since 1992. Dr. Rohrbach started his career at the George Eastman House in Rochester, New York, and was director of the Paul Strand Archive before gaining his doctorate in American Civilization from the University of Delaware in 1993. Besides assembling a wide array of exhibitions on topics traversing American photography, he has published extensively. His books include Eliot Porter: The Color of WildnessAccommodating Nature: The Photographs of Frank Gohlke, Reframing the New Topographics and Color: American Photography Transformed.
