Rossana Hu
Rossana Hu is co-founder, with Lyndon Neri, of Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, an interdisciplinary design practice based in Shanghai. Hu has served as John Portman Chair at Harvard Graduate School of Design, and the Eero Saarinen Visiting Professor and Norman R. Foster Visiting Chair at Yale School of Architecture. Hu was appointed chair of architecture at Tongji University in 2021.
Hu is recipient of several awards, including the Brick Award (2022); Dezeen Studio of the Year Award (2021); Frame Lifetime Achievement Award (2021); Architizer A+ Firm Award (2021); Madrid Design Festival Award (2020); and the Design for Asia Grand Award (2020). Hu is also founding partner of Design Republic in Shanghai and creative director of Stellar Works. She has served on the International Advisory Board of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra since 2018.
Hu received her M.Arch at Princeton University and her B.Arch at the University of California, Berkeley, with a minor in music.
