Sarah Dunn
Sarah Dunn is, with Martin Felsen, founder of UrbanLab, an architecture and urban design firm based in Chicago. The firm’s architecture projects include single and multifamily houses and renovations, conversions of industrial buildings into live + workspace lofts, restaurants and museum installations. UrbanLab is also a research laboratory actively engaged in examining the Chicago megalopolis. A new project, “Chil.us” examines Chicago’s status as a global city. UrbanLab’s work has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Chicago Architecture Foundation, the Chicago Architectural Club, I-Space, and the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in Fine Arts.
Prior to founding UrbanLab, Dunn worked for the Office for Metropolitan Architecture in Rotterdam, as a project architect/leader on large-scale public and private projects including the McCormick Tribune Campus Center at the Illinois Institute of Technology; the master plan and headquarters for Universal Studios in Hollywood; and Togok Headquarters for Samsung, in Seoul.
