Sarah K. Cheema

Sarah K. Cheema is a PhD student at Taubman College at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She holds a BArch in Architectural Design from the National College of Arts, Lahore, and an MA in Architectural History from the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London. Her research aims to understand Pakistan’s postcolonial history and the trends of decolonization in the context of the 20th century modernist agenda and its glorification of industrial and technological progress. She has published in the ABE Journal (Architecture Beyond Europe) and presented at numerous conferences on related topics.
