Stephen Luoni
Stephen Luoni is Director of the UA Community Design Center at the Fay Jones School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he is the Steven L. Anderson Chair in Architecture and Urban Studies.
At the UACDC Luoni specializes in interdisciplinary projects combining architecture, landscape architecture and urban design. Current work includes municipal infrastructure, residential development, campuses, parks and scenario planning. His design and research have won more than 80 planning and urban design awards, and been published in a range of journals, including Oz, Architectural Record, Landscape Architecture, Progressive Architecture, Architect, Places, L’Architecture d’Aujourd’ hui, Progressive Planning and Public Art Review.
Luoni previously taught at the University of Florida, the University of Minnesota, Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Oklahoma. Luoni has a B.S. in Architecture from Ohio State University and a Master of Architecture from Yale University.
