Taiyon J. Coleman

Taiyon J. Coleman is Assistant Professor of English Literature at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a 2017 recipient of the McKnight Foundation Artist Fellowship in creative prose. Her essay “Disparate Impacts: Living Just Enough for the City,” appears in A Good Time for the Truth: Race in Minnesota, and her essay, “The Thenar Space: Writing beyond Emotion and Experience into Story” appears in How Dare We! Write: A Multicultural Creative Writing Discourse. She gave a University of Minnesota TEDx Talk, “Mapping Our Potential: a Poem as a Spatial and Temporal Mapping of Human Experience.”
