Vita Wells
Vita Wells founded The Culture of Repair Project in 2017. Located in Berkeley, California, the project supports repair learning in K–12 education around the world.
Wells grew up surrounded by fixers and makers, so repair comes naturally to her. Through her study of history at Williams College and theology, social ethics, and finance at Yale, as well as her work across sectors, Wells understands the mutual enrichment of ideas and practice. She founded The Culture of Repair Project with the conviction that effective work occurs when bold vision meets pragmatism. The Project works to bring repair into education, focusing on mindset, thinking skills, and environmental impact. Wells also has a much-neglected studio practice and knows the Camino de Compostela well.
