We are pleased to announce that the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University and the Architectural Design Program at Stanford University are now Academic Partners of Places. As such they are part of a growing network of schools that provides core funding for the journal. With institutions ranging from North America to Europe to Asia, the network is a diverse group that shares Places’ commitment to public scholarship on architecture, landscape, and urbanism — to building a larger public constituency for serious design thinking.

Amale Andraos, dean of the GSAPP and partner in the New York-based firm WORKac, and Amy Larimer, assistant director of Architectural Design at Stanford and principal of Larimer + Bernheim Studio, will join our board of directors.
