We are pleased to report that Places has been awarded a grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts to support “Reservoir: Nature, Culture, Infrastructure,” a new multipart collaboration with cultural historian Luc Sante exploring the reservoirs of the Hudson River Valley in Upstate New York.

“Reservoir” will also be the first installment of β€œThe Public Works,” a new initiative devoted to assessing the legacies and possibilities β€” architectural, environmental, social β€” of major public infrastructures.

This year the Foundation awarded $580,000 across 54 grants to organizations fostering innovative projects to expand architectural thought.
