Places Awarded Graham Grant for Reservoirs Project
We are pleased to report that Places has been awarded a grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts to support “Reservoir: Nature, Culture, Infrastructure,” a new multipart collaboration with cultural historian Luc Sante exploring the reservoirs of the Hudson River Valley in Upstate New York.
“Reservoir” will also be the first installment of βThe Public Works,β a new initiative devoted to assessing the legacies and possibilities β architectural, environmental, social β of major public infrastructures.
This year the Foundation awarded $580,000 across 54 grants to organizations fostering innovative projects to expand architectural thought.
