Places Nominated for 2020 Cooper Hewitt National Design Award

We are honored to share the news that Places Journal received a nomination in the Design Visionary category for the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum’s 2020 National Design Awards.

The Cooper Hewitt program celebrates design leadership in America and the power of design to change the world. This is the third time that the journal has been recognized with a nomination; in 2017 and 2015 Places was selected for consideration in the Corporate and Institutional Achievement category.

We are delighted to have been named amongst leading design organizations once again, and are grateful to our academic partners and institutional and individual donors for their support for our work.

The 2020 National Design Award for Design Visionary was won by Kickstarter. The jury included Sigi Ahl, Eileen Fisher Waste No More; Angela Brooks, Brooks + Scarpa Architects; Shane Coen, Coen + Partners; Arem Duplessis, Apple Inc.; Ben Ebel, Michelin North America; Toni L. Griffin, Urban American City; and Jae Park, Google.
