We are pleased to announce that the School of Architecture and Allied Arts at the University of Oregon, the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building at the University of Technology Sydney, and the College of Architecture and Urban Studies at Virginia Tech are now Academic Partners of Places. As such they are part of a growing network of schools that provides core funding for the journal. With institutions ranging from North America to Europe to Asia and now Australia, the network is a diverse group that shares Places’ commitment to public scholarship on architecture, landscape, and urbanism — to building a larger public constituency for serious design thinking.

Christoph Lindner, dean of the School of Architecture and Allied Arts, Elizabeth Mossop, dean of Design, Architecture and Building, and Susan Piedmont-Palladino, director of the CAUS Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center, will join Places’ Board of Directors.
