Ulf Treger is based in Hamburg, Germany, where as an artist, designer, and coder, he works on urban and digital topics. He studied visual communication at the HFBK Hamburg (University of Fine Arts Hamburg). With city/data/explosion, he organizes a series of workshops and projects about the city and digitalization from an emancipatory perspective. A focus of his work is mapping (as a concrete practice and in the examination of the political and aesthetic dimensions of maps). He has been a guest lecturer at the ZHDK (Zurich University of the Arts) since 2018, and in winter 2023-24 was a fellow at the Center for Digital Cultures at University of Lüneburg.
