Victor Perez-Amado
Victor Perez-Amado is an assistant professor at the Toronto Metropolitan University School of Urban and Regional Planning. Trained as an architect and urban designer, he studies aging-in-place and multi-generational housing, including for 2SLGBTQI+ communities. At another scale of urban engagement, he is interested in the equitable and educational activation of public spaces in cities. His methodology, grounded in placemaking theories, explores prototyping, visualization, public realm activation, and community engagement. His work has been shown at the 2019 and 2023 Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, as well as the Harvard GSD Grounded Visionaries exhibition, among others.
