Meena Venkataramanan

Meena Venkataramanan is a book critic, journalist, and essayist who writes about identity, culture, and race. Her work has been published in the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and Public Books, among other outlets. She earned an A.B. in English from Harvard University and an M.Phil. in English from the University of Cambridge, where she studied as a Gates Cambridge Scholar. She is currently a doctoral student in English at Brown University, where her work is situated at the intersection of contemporary Asian and Black diaspora literature, particularly in the United Kingdom, Anglophone Caribbean, and United States.
