David Clements

David Clements operates David Clements Productions in Royal Oak, Michigan, where he lives with his wife, Karin. A longtime Metro Detroiter, he hails from the Lake Michigan town of Benton Harbor. After receiving an M.A. in Education from Wayne State University in 1972, he changed course in the late 1980s to pursue an interest in photography. He has produced two books, Talking Shops: Detroit Commercial Folk Art (2005) and Art in Detroit Public Places (2008), and a historical documentary film, Discovering Detroit’s Ferry Avenue. Clements exhibits his work regionally and nationally.
