Fadi Masoud

Fadi Masoud is an assistant professor of landscape architecture and urbanism at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at University of Toronto.

Masoud is director of the Platform for Resilient Urbanism at the Centre for Landscape Research at University of Toronto. His research, teaching, and design work establish relationships between dynamic large-scale environmental systems, design, and planning policy tools. He leads research projects on adaptive urban and landscape design, novel resilient urban codes, and the future of suburban open space. Prior to joining the Daniels Faculty, Masoud held teaching and research appointments at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He currently sits on Waterfront Toronto’s Design Review Panel as well as on Resilient Toronto’s Urban Flooding Working Group.
