John Scanlan

John Scanlan is a Research Fellow at the University of Central Lancashire in England, where he is currently working with In Certain Places, a curatorial public art partnership. He is the author of several books, including Easy Riders, Rolling Stones (2015), a study of the idea of the road in 20th century popular music, and West Cumbria: On the Edge (2019). He is the series editor of Reaktion Books’ ‘Reverb’ series, which publishes studies of the relationship between music and places.
