Virginia Hanusik

Virginia Hanusik is an artist whose work focuses on landscapes impacted by climate change.

She has worked with communities and state agencies in Louisiana and New York on climate adaptation strategies and environmental equity initiatives, and has been supported by the Graham Foundation and the Mellon Foundation for her work in architecture and photography. Her projects have been exhibited internationally, and her photographs have been featured in Domus, The Atlantic, The Times-Picayune, Oxford American, and others. She lives in New York City where she works at Metropolis Magazine and is a member of the Climate Working Group at New York University. She is currently working on a project about architecture along the American coastline. She received her BA from Bard College.
