The Southern California Institute of Architecture, or SCI-Arc, has launched “Voices from Places Journal,” a new series at the SCI-Arc Channel, a dedicated online space for institute-produced films as well as videos from its media archive.
The new series consists of interviews with Places authors, who discuss their ongoing research and projects. The first installment features an interview with Hillary Mushkin. The next, to be released on November 10, will focus on Despina Stratigakos. Future films will feature Sam Bloch, Gabrielle Esperdy, and Timothy Schuler.
“SCI-Arc Channel is thrilled to launch this new series, which spotlights contributors to Places whose scholarship engages with some of the most pressing issues affecting architecture, landscape, and urbanism today,” said Marcelyn Gow, design theory and pedagogy coordinator at SCI-Arc. “We are inspired to share these important perspectives with our audience, and honored to take part in this collaboration.”
